Congratulations on your forward thinking in making the steps to provide yourself and your family with financial security. A will is certainly important to ensure your estate is dealt with in accordance with your wishes.

ENDURING POWER OF ATTORNEY AND PERSONAL DIRECTIVE

We always encourage clients to have an Enduring Power of Attorney and Personal Directive done at the same time as their will. These will protect not only you, but also your property as they appoint someone to take care of your financial matters and medical decisions if you become incapacitated.

ESTATES

If you are in the position of executor or wish to apply to administer the estate of someone who has passed away, we are here to assist you with that process.

The fees for an application for a Grant of Probate are $2250.00 plus GST and expense recovery. An application for a Grant of Administration has fees of $2500.00 plus GST and expense recovery for disbursements that occur.

Note: We do not apply a percentage of the estate but rather, bill according to any additional work done such as transfers of land (see real estate fee schedule), or disbursement of assets.

Fees noted above do not include disbursements (which include but are not limited to filing fees, courier costs) and applicable GST.
